Our North Carolina camping resort offers 22 cabin types to choose from - WOW! We know it can be a little overwhelming, especially if you're new to the glamping world or would like to try a different cabin type! With this in mind, we outlined our top 3 cabin types that are great for fall camping!

Once you finalized the perfect cabin type, don't forget to pack everything you may need during your fall camping trip! During cooler temperatures, it's important to pack items such as raincoats, sweaters, and bug spray. We've also outlined in detail everything else you should consider packing here!

Lookout Loft Cabins

These cottages are the epitome of North Carolina glamping. Sleep up to 8 in this cabin type with sleeping arrangements including a separate bedroom, loft area, bunk beds, and a futon. Our Lookout Loft Cabins include a full bathroom, kitchen, indoor fireplace, plus a rooftop deck! Located in more private areas of the park, this accommodation is best for those looking for a bit more quiet and privacy.

Hickory Forest Cabins

Similar to the Lookout Loft Cabins, our Hickory Forest Cabins are also a great option for those looking to experience glamping at its finest! Sleep up to 6 in this luxury cabin type, which includes a private bedroom, bunk beds, and futon. Also equipped with a full bathroom, deck, and kitchen, this cabin type is great for those looking to be near attractions like the Water Zone, Gem Mining, mini golf, and more!

Sycamore Loft Cabins

Sleep up to 10 people in one of our Sycamore Loft Cabins! This North Carolina cabin type includes a private bedroom with a queen bed, 2 sets of bunk beds a futon, and two full beds in the loft. This cabin type includes a full bathroom, kitchen, and screened in porch. These cabins are located in three different locations throughout the park, making them a great option for any camper!

 

Must-Try Indoor Activities

The fall season is basically the definition of sweater weather - hello cooler temperatures! Although we love our mini golf course, jumping pillows, playgrounds, sports courts, and other outdoor activities, we've rounded up some activities and attractions that take place indoors!

First up on the list is Candy Bar Bingo. Join us at the Lakeside Pavilion or the Arts & Crafts Building for a game of bingo with a twist! Winners take home candy! Candy bars can be purchased at the time of the activity.  

Bring out your creative side during our various arts & crafts! From tie dye and ceramics, to glitter tattoos and sand art, there's something for everyone. Arts & Crafts are located at the Arts and Crafts Pavilion and occur rain or shine!

Cozy Fall Camping Meals

Looking for easy fall camping meals the whole family will love? Look no further! We outlined the best breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert recipe you should try this fall.

For breakfast, enjoy some Apple Maple Sausage Breakfast Sandwiches! The combination of apple and maple scream fall flavors! You can make the sausages at home prior to your North Carolina camping trip, or you can make them on your stovetop or over the charcoal grill/campfire!

For lunch, make a fall camping meal everyone will love - Camping Mac and Cheese! Requiring only 3 ingredients with as many cheeses as you desire, this recipe one both the kids and adults will love.

Apple Cheddar Burgers with Sauteed Onions are a great option for easy fall camping meals! These burgers are unique due to the apples mixed into the burgers, creating a fall masterpiece! Top the burgers off with cooked onions, cheese, and any condiments you wish. Ta-da!

We're bringing back apples for the best course - dessert! Campfire Apple Pie Packets are not only delicious, but incredibly easy to prepare. All you need to do is combine all ingredients in a foil packet and heat over the fire. Once ready, add a dollop of ice cream for the ultimate fall dessert. YUM!
